Hello,

I have a problem with a DNN website I build. Well, actually, I don't have it, as I can not reproduce it, but others have sent me screencopies of the menu turning black. Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks,

For this kind of irritating issues, you should always keep a IE6 in a virtual machine ready...

Define a backgroiund color for the menu_bg and menu_style div. Then you should be safe again. Or tell you client to update ;)

Thank you for you prompt reply!

I will try this, sounds like a solution.

It didn't occur in the webbrowser of my client, which is already ie7. She got the feedback from other visitors. We checked the webstatistics and noticed that abt 18% of the visitors is still on IE6 and about 20% is visiting with ie7, so I think I should still support ie6 for some time.

Thanks again,

Ron

I would love to get a module (maybe I'll try developing one day) that shows an AJAX popup stating

"Hey you are running IE6, are you on drugs? This is even worse than IE7? And IE7 sucks as well.
Why not consider upgrading to a decent browser and make life easier for all of us?"

Followed by some buttons: Retry, Ignore, Cancel, Goto another site etc...

Cheers

Alex,

This is a bit harsh, I think IE7 is pretty decent when you use a xhtml doctype.
