 We're looking for a sports league scheduler which will automate scheduling of teams and reserver fields of play. Basically enter in league and division info, defone teams, and prefered times and prefered fields of play. Then define seasons and let the schedule come up with matches based on leagues and divisions, fields and time which have been defined. We're looking for a DNN module.

 

I see some sports schedule module on SnowCovered but they do not automate the scheduling process. WE have over 5000 kids in our leage and the most time consuming part of running the league is scheduling each game individually.

 

Anybody have any ideas or interest in consultant work to build a module such as this.

Check out GamePlan by Everysport.net, we have an integrated sports management tool that automates youth organizatoins.  It also provides an Artificial intelligent scheduling engine that is rule based.  You can contact me at 636-225-1643 and I can provide you with more information.

 I'm looking for an actuall dnn module. This does not seem to integrate with DNN.

Could you build something like this from one of the event/calendar modules?

Try WebPlanner - it was recently sold to another developer who doesn't have a very nice snowcovered page. But it will allow you to schedule different resources (teams). It is built from an asp.net control from a different vendor - can't remember which one now but you could learn more about it by going to that vendor's site.

I have experience building these type of modules and would be happy to work with you to make what you require.  Please contact me directly at 250-755-6419 or at my website www.codeheads.net and we can get going right away :)  I have made this in the past for Golf tournaments and events, so to modify that, or to build it into what you are asking for is not too much work.
