Hi!

I read in this forum that it is possible to copy a DNN website from one server to another.

I copied the entire DNN website directory and restored a backup of the DNN SQL database from one server to another. Then I changed the connection strings in web.config to point to the new database location. I have also set the appropriate permissions on the directory. Finally I went into the SQL database and changed the portal alias to the new server.

When I run the website on the new, I get a DNN logo with a "Site Under Construction" message. How do I overcome this?

Thanks in advance.

Check you database connection string again.....
Check that you can actually authenticate to this database/server.
thanks.

Oh and check your machinekey (it will probably be different in web.config)
