We were getting this problem after upgrading to 5.1 (from 4.9.4).

After much hair loss I found that gettings users to press CTRL-F5 to reload the page fixed our problem!  For us it must have been something cached on the client browser that was out of sync with the server (perhaps a js file?).

Sounds too simple but I hope it helps.

Hi, we've been getting the same error. It only happens in our naivigation module that we've built. When clicking through the links quickly, it produces this error.  We've even upgraded the DNN to the latest version and it still does this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
