I installed DNN 5 and it work with no problems (using both IE7 and Firefox3.0.6). After a few days when I use IE it lets me log on but then nothing works - Menu tabs, admin control panel items, module drop down menu etc...

However, it all works fine in Firefox!! (and Opera, Chrome and Safari).

One added bit of info - the problem with IE only seems to occur if I log in as Host or Admin (in fact any role that has adminstration rights). Also if i use another computer all works ok.

Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks in advance,

Check your javascript settings in IE. Check you firewall settings. Clear out your cookies/browser cache. Make sure stuff like zone alarm privacy isn't in the way.

I've got no problems with IE7/DNN5, the issue must be at your end.

Hope this helps...

I experienced the exact same thing. Everything worked fine for all users except host/admin. And, Firefox and IE7 worked, but not IE6. My client's server has Enhanced Security Configuration enabled for IE6 which may be contributing but I can't say for sure.

God luck,

Ken

Thanks of the response,

I have checked the items you mentioned with no success.

I suspect that if it had anything to do with javascript, firewall etc... then surely I would have the problem with non-admin logon also (remember from my post that only logons with admin rights exhibits the problem).

I also had no problems with IE7 and DNN5 for a few days, then it stopped working for IE7 for users with admin rights (I made no changes to javascript settings or firewall settings)

Any other suggestion would be appreaciated.

Thanks in advance

From vague memory now I think this might be fixed for DNN 5.0.1
