Hi,

I have an some three skins say skin1, skin2 and skin3. These three skins basically will have the same the layout with different top banner and footer.

So when the user selects the skin1, for that user session the skin should be applied through out the site. How ever this skin selection should not affect other user's skin. It is also not necessary that skin selection to be retained when he comes to the next time. The skin change should remain for the particular user and for the current user session only.

Kindly suggest me solution for this senario.

the skin is stored in skinsrc variable so you could upate dynamically. Probably the best place to store it would be in a custom user property

e.g. Dim profileProp As ProfilePropertyDefinition = GetProperty("userskin")

PortalSettings.ActiveTab.SkinSrc=profileProp

and add a custom profile property called userskin that lists all the available skins - see http://www.charlesnurse.com/post/The-DotNetNuke-Property-Editors-Part-5-Creating-a-simple-EditControl.aspx for an example of creating one, and adding it to profile page.
