We've built a custom registration module and this works fine. Problem is that the profile properties country and preferredlocale will not correctly inserted in the database. The user can choose the preferredlocale and country from dropdown lists. Because our site is multilanguage, the values of these dropdowns are stored in the local resource files. But If we try to set the profile properties in the code page, our chosen values will not be inserted. The values are always stored as my default language. This is my line of code from the code page:

objUserInfo.Profile.Country = ddlLand.Text
objUserInfo.Profile.PreferredLocale = ddlTaal.Text

I've tried to use "ddlLand.SelectedValue" and "ddlLand.SelectedItem" instead of "ddlLand.Text", but this doesn't work. What is the correct way to insert these values. I've looked at the default registration module and found this line of code, but i don't understand how to use this:

If Not cboLocale.Items.FindByValue(UserInfo.Profile.PreferredLocale) Is Nothing Then
cboLocale.ClearSelection()
cboLocale.Items.FindByValue(UserInfo.Profile.PreferredLocale).Selected = True

Could somebody help me with this?
