I have been reading through the forums in search of modifications to the SolPart Menu, but I haven't found the right solution for me.

What I am trying to do is have the normal top navigation(Currently as Home - Products - Services - Consutlting - Contact)  Each has a submenu, and some of the subs have a sub menu.  What I want to do, is remove the Home tree from the top, and place it on the left of the page. That way accross the top is only products/services/consutling/contact, then on the left side, a user will see the the Child nodes of the home menu.

My question is, I kow how to create two menus with XML, but is it possible to have the SolPart menu on the left display the Child nodes of Home, and their submenus without displaying the rest of the menu on the left as well.

Thanks

Blaine

I'm not trying to put you off, but have you explored the great functionality of the links and breadcrumb skinobject?

From how I read this (and i had to read a few time sorry) I think you're trying to create the sub pages in the first level child - and in there - the pages that beneath that?

So, is this a possiblity or do you really want to go through and use the solpart menu for this?

My apologies on clarification.  Here is the site www.stc.webtackle.com (non production yet).  The skin is based off of Chris Paterra's Tanquility skin, with two instances of SolPart.

Take a look at the default(home) page.  This is how I want the menu to function, but I would also like to remove the "home" from the top of the page.  On the left you can see the child pages of "home", I would like that menu to repeat throughout the entire site, currently it displays the "child" pages of your currentl location.

My question is, is this even possible?
