Mainly I have to run main portal on one IP address and child portal on different IP address from same install

We are going to provide the DNN website to our users. But some the users may want their site to run from their IP address. Will this situation be handled using host headers in IIS

As I said earlier, running the different portals on different IP addresses can be done with IIS Host Headers, but if the clients want a different IP address, then they probably don't want you sticking them in the same database, file system folders, and application space either.

For security and stabilization it is best to keep them all on their own install, & DB.

Thanks for the reply.

In our case we are providing users with their website and some modules for business managements.  So if there is any change in any of modules I will have make changes to all installs. so making new DNN install and database for each different IP is not good from space and modification point of view.

Just to confirm we can do this( hosting portals on different IP) from host headers only or there is any other method .
