So I just downloaded the latest version of DotNetNuke, version 4. whatever it is.  I did try 5 but that caused no end of grief for the simple test that I am trying at current.

For me it doesn't seem to work straight out of the box, for example,

1.  Create fresh install
2.  Create a page called 'test'
3.  Add repository to page 'test'
4.  Change skin of repository to 'niftyVideo'
5.  Upload a tiny WMV, smallest you can

The video won't play because the skin is trying to map to the file that doesn't contain the GUID strapped to the end of it, so it never resolves the file.

Please see Steve Fabian's post at the very end of this thread:

Unfortunately, the beta version download that is linked to from that post is now v 3.01.17 rather than v 3.01.16. In working with a repository user the other day, we found that v 3.01.17 seams to have reintroduced the problem that was corrected in v 3.01.16. I have not verified that yet by inspecting the souce code. Perhaps Steve can verify if that is true or not.

Cheers Bill!  I've decided to use a different route than the Repository as unfortunately it's not going to fulfill all of my requirements at current.  But thanks a million for your time and information, it's most helpful.

Nick.
