Hi,

I am trying to install 04.09.01 with sql express 2005 under windows xp.

I want test myself before going to an installation on a remote server because this is absolutely the first time I face this kind of installation and web setup.

I followed all the instructions I could find and, once, I got the installation regularly launched after typing http://localhost/myvirtuladirectory in the browser ie 7.0

Because as I said I am testing myself, I delete everithing and started back from scratch.

Reinstalled sql express 2005 with vbsetup.,exe create again the directory unzipped everithing and so on.

Now, when I type http://localhost/myvirtuladirectory in the browser, instead of having the installtion started, I see in the browser window the content of the default.aspx file!!!!

I think that all the permissions the iis settings and the sql database are ok because if I type http://localhost/myvirtualdirectory/dotnentnuke.ico I can see the icon and the same happens for other files.

I can't figure out what I did wrong, the only thing I can point out is that the first time when the instalaltion went ok, I did something on a yellow bar appeared on top of the browesr window regarding the intranet settings but I do not remmebre exactly what the yellow bar said.

Please point me in the right direction. I think it is something stupid that I did, but again I have no idea of waht it could be

I mean that I see in the browser's window what you see if you open the file with notepad.

I do not know if this is a correct assumption but it seems to me that the file is read instead of beeing executed.
