The folder \our_site\images stores the default icons for DNN like the little question mark symbol for displaying the tooltip. How do we change this default icon set to match our design? Can we simply replace all the icons in the relevant folder or will this cause any error, e.g. because they might have other dimensions or due to an update of DNN?

you can replace the images, but be aware that different dimensions might distort the look of several modules and your files will be overwritten during upgrades, if you don't exclude them from being extracted.

Additionally you should keep in mind that your Files might be overwritten again after an DNN-Upgrade.

Are the icons placed with an img-tag including width and/height attributes? Then they would be definitely distorted..

Anyways this solution does not satisfy me because of the update issue. Isn't there a possibility to create a skin with own icons which will not be overwritten after an upgrade?
