Dylan,

you ment you get no e-MailNotification if any user is posted? This a other feature.  This need a notifications forum behavior, or it must be a trusted post - then the moderators get a email notification.  If you check the Thread Notification on each thread - there is a known bug.

A other feature is also, you can subscript to some Forums in your user settings.

But all needed a successful configuration of the Forums eMail settings and a succesful SMTP setting in the System.  Also the scheduler settings for notification ques have to be aktivated.

For correct settings see the user manual. http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Development/Forge/ModuleForums/Downloads/tabid/823/Default.aspx

Matthias,

Yes, as stated in my first post my users are complaining about the feature not working. In other words, the users are checking the show email feature in their forum profile, but it is not viewable in their profile except by admins. I've read elsewhere this is a bug. Is this true or is there a fix?

Thanks for the response.
Jared

Additional information. I've discovered a handful (5 or 6) of our users can check "Display Email Address" and it appears in their forum profile. Everyone else  is out of luck. Checking "Display Email address" does not show their email address.

Ok that is a known bug, it is already fixed for next version.  We didn't provide seperate fixes about a new fix is a complete new subversion and have to be peleased as a complete package by design.  Allthrue I am not a developer (testing only) and so I couldn't share any code here for fixing by self.

Thanks again for the information. I'm feeling a little  that I didn't research the DNN forum before implementing it for a customer.
