I just reviewed my previous posts and noticed that I was a bit sloppy. This is what the css files look like on a "working" Settings page (this page has all the default settings for the MinimalExtropy skin).

/Portals/_default/default.css
/Portals/_default/Skins/MinimalExtropy/skin.css
/Portals/_default/Skins/MinimalExtropy/index.css
/Portals/_default/Containers/MinimalExtropy/container.css
/Portals/_default/Containers/MinimalExtropy/Title_Grey.css
/Portals/0/portal.css
/Portals/_default/Skins/MinimalExtropy/css/ie6skin.css

This failing page has an override for just this page's skin and when editing Page Settings uses this:

/Portals/_default/default.css
/Portals/_default/Skins/MinimalExtropy/skin.css  <<< the skin file for the MinimalExtropy skin
/Portals/_default/Skins/mikevdm/main.css   <<< That's my skin's css file
/Portals/_default/Containers/MinimalExtropy/container.css
/Portals/_default/Containers/MinimalExtropy/Title_Grey.css
/Portals/0/portal.css
/Portals/_default/Skins/MinimalExtropy/css/ie6skin.css

My Host & Admin settings for Host/Edit skins and Portal/Edit skins are all MinimalExtropy -index and Minimal Extropy - title_grey.

With these settings I would not expect my skin to be used at all when using Page Settings.

DNN 4.9 and 5.0 should behave the same and show link to the skin.css file and a myskin.css file from the same folder.

The same in View and Edit mode.

Did you try to clear the app cache and restart the application?

Please piost the exact list of CSS files and their order in both view and edit mode.

BTW are you talking about edit if the Control Panel is on edit or if you are editing a module?

Ok, I see in the moderation list you just posted that...

I'm not sure how this is possible, but it is not the expected behavior.

/Portals/_default/default.css
/Portals/_default/Skins/MinimalExtropy/skin.css  <<< the skin file for the MinimalExtropy skin
/Portals/_default/Skins/mikevdm/main.css   <<< That's my skin's css file
/Portals/_default/Containers/MinimalExtropy/container.css
/Portals/_default/Containers/MinimalExtropy/Title_Grey.css
/Portals/0/portal.css
/Portals/_default/Skins/MinimalExtropy/css/ie6skin.css

The red line is incorrect.

BTW, is there a skin.css file in the /Portals/_default/Skins/mikevdm/ folder at all? (there should be)

I don't think I emphasized this enough, but I only observe this under these circumstances:

My Host & Admin settings for Host/Edit skins and Portal/Edit skins are all MinimalExtropy -index and Minimal Extropy - title_grey.

I change one page's Page Skin to my own skin (skin mikevdm, which has skin.ss and main.css in the skin folder).

Now I view the page, all is well (my skin mikevdm is used).

Then I click Settings in ControlPanel.

The resulting Page Settings page uses the MinimalExtropy skin (as I would expect based on my use of 4.9.x and my current settings).

But, instead of pulling in "/Portals/_default/Skins/MinimalExtropy/index.css", it brings in my skin's "/Portals/_default/Skins/mikevdm/main.css".

Again, I have tried this on a clean 5.0.0 install without any modifications other that adding the skin.
