 What steps are necessary to implement a pop up calendar or a date picker control in a DNN module?

There are actually no steps required, you can just place a javascript codes inside the module control or you can register a datepicker control on it.

Now the hard part could be how to get the calendar value.
If it is a datepicker control => you may access them via behind code through control properties
If it is a javascript => you can get the data from querystring (if it is redirected) or you can get the value from hidden fields (sourced from javascript)

Hope this help

Let's say you have a text box called "txtDate" and a link control called lnkDateCal, this is what you'd do...

lnkDateCal.NavigateUrl = DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.Calendar.InvokePopupCal(txtDate)
