I am able to set skins for the potal in default.aspx by assigning to 'Portalmodulebase.Activetab.SkinSrc' while logging in based on the user authencation, but i couldnt set the skins/containersrc for modules added in the pages of the portal.please help me..

Thanks in advance..

the containersrc property is exposed at both the page (tab) and module level - the module level has precedence. You can set them

Dim objTabInfo As New TabInfo
objTabInfo.ContainerSrc = "someskin.ascx"

(obviously you probably want to use me.activetab.containersrc is youre changing on the current tab)

 Dim objModuleInfo As New ModuleInfo
 objModuleInfo.ContainerSrc = "someskin.ascx"

Picking up on this thread. We have created a custom module that is supposed to show different Skins/Containers dynamically for Applications coming in from different Affiliates. To do this, we use SkinSrc and ContainerSrc query parameters in the URL (same way that DNN does when you choose to preview a skin of container). But it seems like the Containers are always displayed, even when you have selected that "Display Container?" should be false. This means that a module that is normally set not to display the container suddenly has a container, is there someway we can fix this?

Can comment on this myself, one solution, or rather workaround, is to have make your new container an empty container, meaning that it has no frame etc. so it wouldnt make any difference if it was rendered with the container or not. Of course, this is not a 100% solution, but it is a small step anyway.
