First of all thanks to everyone for the nice words regarding the book, I'm glad that you are seeing value in the content provided.

Yes, it was a very moving target, and a few of the "timeline" bits from earlier chapters were not updated, but I promise you that those are the only things not updated.  In fact, I sent an update to the publisher that was integrated just a little over a month ago, when I discovered some additional functionality with the DNN 5.x manifest.

Regarding the CE/PE edition issues.  This book is geared towards DotNetNuke development regardless of implementation.  It targets 5.x and later, however, notes and references are provided to accomplish 4.x development as well.

Regarding the author....I wrote the entire book, Shaun just wrote the two page foreward that shows up at the beginning of the book, he gets his picture on the book since he is the series editor.

I guess if it was targetted towards the Pro Edition (which of course is hardly any different to the community edition) then it would read:

"Professional DotNetNuke Profesional Edition Module Programming"

or even better:

"Professional DotNetNuke Profesional Edition Module Programming for Professionals"

... which doesn't quite have the same ring...

Also I think the cover might not fit through the letterbox in this scenario :).

I am eagerly awaiting my copy of this book in the mail.  I cannot wait!

As a shameless, but related plug...  Anyone attending our next ODUG meeting will get two treats.  First, a 40% coupon for Mitchel's book.  And second, you get to meet DNN Core Team member Chris Hammond.

But wait, there's more!  Mitchel will be presenting a session to the ODUG in May.  I cannot wait!

Thank you so much for all that you do for the DNN community, Mitchel.  You're the man!  :)

I wasn't confused by "Professional" in the title. I am aware Wrox has many books in the sort of "Professional some technology".

I was referring to the stamp which indicates it covers PE.
