I'm not sure how to search for a answer for the following question because I didn't find the answer, so here's the question :

Is it possible to isolate DB table for a specific module/application by client portal?

Let me be more specific, let's say I have a DNN portal running a module design specifically for one client.

Next thing I know, someone else want to use the module BUT he require that his data does not get "mix up" with the original client.

I know you can use alias for customizing the presentation part for "each" client but how do I isolate data from one client to the others when using the "same" portal and the "same" installed module?

I hope I made myself clear enough... like I said, I didn't find my answer probably because I don't know how to look for it...

Feel free to ask for clarification.

Regards

Nearly all modules I know of (including all core modules) are using a single  table per module and separate data by portalID, the framework ensures, that cross-portal visibility is prohibited by using tabid and moduleid. if your client wants to ensure his portal not to be mixed up, you need to use a separate installation for him. you need to distinct data within a portal (e.g. per client) this needs to be implemented in the module (though I don't see a need as long as the module prohibits unauthorized access to records properly.
