I've searched high and low for an answer to this question.  Does the forums module support the portal search module?  If not, are there plans to support it?  If so, where am I missing on how to enable it?  Forums hold a vast array of information and not indexing this data is a huge loss for the portal search.

One further question, can web spiders easily parse the message forum posts?

The module is already exposed to ISearchable, which is the portals search indexer. Because of performance reasons there is a lastindex date used by the module. In the current version this cannot be reset unless you do so manually using direct db access (module settings table).
