The problem is that you have version 3.5 installed in the GAC (which is a different version of AJAX from that included in the distro).

I would recommend that you install the original ASP.NET AJAX Extensions ( the one released for .NET 2).  Your install should then complete.

I have found whats happend.

I had running the install on a XP Pro local maschine, with .NET 2.0 and .NET 3.5 installed.  But I didn't installed the ajax extentions for .NET 2.0 about they are included in .NET 3.5, but if you didn't change manuelly the use to .NET 3.5 for DNN you have to install the ajax.net extentions !

So the ajax extentions for .NET 2.0 was missing!

Can you please explain how to change AJAX in web config, and how to enable AJAX for ASP2
