Hi Eric:

How did your meeting go? Would be great if UG could post back what happen at their meeting. Thanks.

Brian,
Thanks for asking, it was a great kickoff. While we didn't have as many attending as we hoped, we did have visitors from as far away as Vermont.

Carl Norloff presented the Zone Labs (ZoneDiet.com) site to us, which includes an excellent implementation of AspDotNetStorefront and Engage Publish. As a bonus, the lead developer was also present, and provided some great insight into the project. We also spent a good portion of the meeting sharing both DNN design and development knowledge, so everyone attending came away with some great tips/tricks that many of us have learned the hard way.

The next nmeeting is this coming Monday (1st Monday of every month!), and will include another knowledge share - including the design and development of multilingual sites, DNN resources, customization or replacement of the text editor, and skinning tips and techniques for both designers and developers, and much more.

Eric

Eric, if you guys get signed up with INETA you can get 2 INETA speakers per year with costs covered.

I'm all about trips to Boston, so let me know if you're interested!

(runs to check if any of the tickets he bought for his aunt at Fenway are around the first Monday of the month)

Yes, we're now in INETA and am interested. As soon as we get a decent minimum attendance, that's the next step. See you soon I'm sure.

Eric: We had a guy from the Boston area attend our DotNetNuke track in Orlando recently and I told him about your group. Don't worry about attendance at your meetings. Just get the word out. Contact your local Microsoft office and try to speak to someone in the ASP.NET area and tell them about your meetings.

It's good that your group is part of INETA. They give lots of swag to local user groups along with speakers as Chris had mentioned.

Good luck!
