Hello, I am new to DNN. I have just installed the framework on localhost, and starting to explore.

I do not see any module, that can manage articles. I would like to add articles to my site, each will contain Title, Category and Content. Is there any module in default dot net nuke installation that can be used for that?

Thank you.

 Hi,

yes there is: try the Announcements module. If it is not listed in the dropdown of available modules, you need to install it:

  • login as superuser ("host")
  • go to Module definitions in host menu
  • at the bottom you find a list of available modules (or in DNN5 a link to it)
  • select Annuoncements and hit install
  • now you are able to select it from the dropdown and place it on any page

If you are looking for a more advanced version, I suggest to look at NewsArticle from www.ventrian.com
