Is this unethical?

Can we (CE users) start a collection to purchase a PE version?  For less that what most modules cost 40-50 CE users could have a PE version setup for the pupose of submitting bug fixes, and enhancement requests which should then be applied to the CE of DNN for everyone to enjoy.

Granted, the PE version could probably be licensed to only one individual, LLC, or organization but all those that contributed could then funnel request for  this licensed copy through the proper support channels.

I don't believe that this will do much of a benefit, as really bug submissions for CE will get addressed as they are the same code base.

Requests would be for PE not CE:
Guaranteed product issue resolution through premium support channels, enhanced resources and immediate attention from experts most familiar with the framework.
DotNetNuke Professional Edition customers have prioritized access to DNN Corp. technical experts, ensuring problems are identified and resolved as quickly as possible.

Any fixes should then be available to the CE edition, and I think this comes down to what you personally consider a critical problem affecting your production DNN.

There's no purpose as bug fixing happens in CE as well, and almost certainly the licensing terms would be broken unless somebody gathers all the money and then keeps the license for themselves :).

I don't think you understand.   I believe this comes down to what you personally consider a critical problem affecting your production DNN.
By owning a license for the PE of DNN I should be guaranteeing that those issues which I deem as critical to my business, production, or personal use will have priority, and a guaranteed resolution.   It's been mentioned that everything happens in CE as well, but it's the priority status we gain by owning PE.

Yes, 1 person would collect and own the license, but again all contributers could funnel requests through the proper channels.  Unethical?  I guess that's why I am asking.
