I'm ruling things out...

Restarting IIS has cured this issue in the past, but this was for older DNN installations.... so it is definately worth a go anyway.

Cardspace is an issue and has been withdrawn from 5.0.1, I'm just saying you should remove it. Just delete it from the extensions page. Rule that one out... it's probably not your issue though.

Then there is this issue you may want to have a look at:
http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=9026&PROJID=2

There were other module definitions related issues fixed in the 5.0.1 Gemini roadmap... some of the comments for these issues may (or may not) help you.

I hope you find the advise useful as that is all I can think of right now... many thanks...

So did you resolve your issue, care to share? Thankyou.

I'm afraid not. Anyway, I've decided to do a clean install of 5.0.1 and export the content over. Checking all the links now.

I'm aware that DNN 5 is not yet ready for production use, but I'm using the Escher Photo Gallery module by Oliver Hine, which seems to requires that version.

Oh, I still have the broken site still running, so I might try to figure it out.

Thanks anyway!
