Hello!

I have been successfully using DNN 4.02 (ASP.NET 2 & SQL 2K5) with CrystalTech.com.  I have several parent portals, some custom modules, all of which are working fine.

In learning to use DNN I have also benefitted from exposure to other technologies, such as Nant, CruiseControl.NET, etc.  I also use the free version of Gemini for Intranet use, but would like to purchase the license and allow my development teams access on my intranet facing website.

Has anyone used Gemini and deployed to a shared hosting environment?  Is it possible to do so using a single website/database, i.e. I would like to use a domain alias such as http://gemini.mywebsite.com and have the database objects prefixed so there isn't any interference with my DNN database objects, and do all of this using ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL 2K5.

Thanks for your insight and help!

John

Hey John:  Congrats on getting 4.0.2 to work w/SQL2K5.  Could you perhaps post what you did to get permissions working correctly in your install?  Did you use the source install?  Or the starter kit?  I'm trying to get the source install to work w.2k5 and having permissions problems.  I can access the database fine, but I keep getting an error stating I need to give 'NETWORKSERVICE' permissions on my virtual directory--only thing is--it has complete control of the virtual directory and all child folders and files.  So I'm at a completely loss.  I'd owe you big time if you could help me out--I have a number of 3.x modules you may be interested in that I've developed...
