Well I am a little bit bias towards PowerDNN of course :) but it really comes down to knowing what your requirements are and making a decision that works best for you and/or your business.  Some things to consider are:

1) Is the site for business or personal use

2) How much support do you expect?  or require?

3) Are you going to be using many 3rd party or custom modules (If so this may effect #2)

4) How much control do you need over your environment
