I had a previous post on this subject and none of the suggestions helped and then they stopped.  But my situation remains the same.

There has to be a way of installing more than one instance of DNN 5.0 on a shared web host without getting this error message:

Domain Name [domain name] Does Not Exist In The Database

Here's some info you should know before answering.

  1. These are completely separate DNN 5.0 installations
  2. These are completely separate DNN databases
  3. These are for shared hosting customers who do not know each other, so there is nothing connecting the installations
  4. They are installed on a new Windows Server 2003 R2 box with IIS 6.0
  5. I get this error when I copy a completely clean default extraction of the DNN 5.0 zip, to a hosting customers web site folder.  I open a browser and enter the domain name of the site to start the installation wizard, and I get this error!
  6. Again, no configuration of any kind has been done to these installations prior to recieving the error messages

I would really like to know why this is occurring.  I've tried everything and I still get this error.  My hosting customers are obviously getting a little annoyed that this isn't working.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Does no one know how to fix this?

Aren't there web hosts out there who have solved this problem?

Please, I'd like to get this problem solved.

I think the mistake here is that you started a new thread. I would not comment until I've seen other peoples suggestions.
