DNN 5.0.1

i'm developing a cutom module, and i have 4 controls in the module. when i try to link from one control to the other i get this error:

Method: DotNetNuke.UI.Modules.ModuleHost.LoadModuleControl
StackTrace:
Message: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.UI.Modules.ModuleHost.LoadModuleControl() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

here's the target url format: .../CustomModule/tabid/56/ctl/ctlViewItems/mid/373/Default.aspx?catId=775

removing query string didn't fix the issue.

any ideas?

solution: make sure all the controls inherit from PortalModuleBase

I'm not sure what you mean by this phrase.  Do you mean navigate?  Have you read Michael Washington's guide? http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/Misc/ModuleNavigationOptions.htm
