How you doing everyone. I need some help creating a search engine for my site specifically for images. Heres the function.

User types in word: Tyler
search engine script processes "tyler" and pops up a new window listing images that correspond to those letters. So for this example, there would be five images that would pop up, and each image i would have assigned by letters such as the t, y, l, etc.

Furthermore, i want the user to have the ability to click the image, say for "T, and pick from a library of images that correspond with "T", and then continue on to the next letter and so on.

If anyone has an idea of what I'm talking about. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

to get a better understanding, visit my website: http://www.2theletter.net  go to the Letters page and You'll understand the application I'm trying to get. If a user can just type in a word and get all the images that relate to each letter, it would be much better than having to scroll through each page of letters. Plus this application allows users to see the letters together rather than individually.

perfect example of exact application: http://www.alphabetphotography.ca/create_a_word.aspx

That's an interesting application which I had never seen done before. I don't know of any DNN modules which would provide that functionality - so it would have to be a custom one. Something built upon Silverlight 2.0 would be an ideal way to go.

Since this forum deals only with the DNN Gallery module, you might get more responses by posting this in the "Chat About It" or "Extend It - Asp.Net 3.5" forums. There are many  developers here on the DNN forums who take on custom module development. If I only had the time, that would be something I'd love to tackle.

thanks for your help i just posted in both forums you suggested. I work with html and css, very basic stuff so when it came to an application like this I'm clueless as where to turn to.

Don't think you can do that with pure html or css.  You have then done a pae for each letter.  Pehaps it is posible to do with FrontPage extentions.  All other uses a higher programming language i.e .NET (ASP.NET, VB.NET c#.NET), PHP, Java, CGI, Perl or others.

yeah thats what I mean. I know i cant tackle an application such as this with html or css. I am just clueless as what language to use to write this application. I'm willing to pay as well, but i need to find the right forum so i can get the best possible price for the both of us.
