This is a potential rat-hole, I'll suggest it anyway :)

I'd like the capability of inserting the value of one cell into another cell by means of parameter replacement. Something like column 1 has an MLS number (house for sale listing identifier) and I'd like to pass that number to another site through a URL like : http://www.realtohr.com/showdetails.aspx?mls=$1 . Something like that. Let me know if I should explain further.

Future Versions shall have the option of filtering and having a detail view for single records - and this will allow pointing to a single record. But there are many other requests, so please don't expect it to be included in the very next versions.

I see this as the same "calculated fields" issue you mentioned. Basically, instead of mathematically adding two numeric values, append two values.
