HI Richard,

That will be why I couldn't find it. DNNstuff not DNNsoft (DNNSoft is Catalook .Netstore which I use...). I'll try and look at it over the next couple of days.

Cheers
Roger

Hey Roger,

Where can I pick up the 5.0 beta for Events? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to locate it.

Hi Worth,

I tested the latest build of Events with Aggregator and can duplicate the problem. When the module menu renders, the positioning of the menu is set to absolute positioning at 0,0 which puts it in the top lefthand corner of the page. This position is selected by the DNNMenuNavigationProvider and I don't have any control over how it's deciding where to show the menu. This is probably due to the fact that for the new Events module which uses the 'Supports Partial Rendering' the Aggregator module renders the module during the Init event instead of the Load event. The Init event comes sooner than the Load event and this may be why the menu provider can't determine the correct absolute position for the menu. The reason I'm rendering the module in the Init event rather than Load event for any modules that support partial rendering, is because it was necessary for enabling the partial rendering support.

What are your options? Well, you can uncheck the 'supports partial rendering' flag on the view module of the Events module through Module Definitions. This will make it load in the Load event and the menu will show up in the correct space. I'll do some further testing and touch base with Jon Henning to see why the Init event rendering is causing the issue. Perhaps there is something else I can do when loading modules to better support that particular menu provider.

I'll cross post this answer in the DNNStuff forums as well, as you have an open question about this in there also.

Hi Richard,

If you see something that needs to change in the Events module, please let us know and we can see if it can be accomodated.

Cheers
Roger
