i did a manual upgrade of dnn by replacing the /library and /website of my portal. the DB upgrade ran well and copied my core files back into the site for changes we made to our dnn. i see now the ne wversion is using Admin/Authentication/Login.ascx instead of Admin/Security/Signin.ascx

i found this out by comparing the new SQL server DB and the old one.

i still cant see why the login and the registration control for my portal are not visible after upgrade.

any help?

please always upgrade by extracting ALL files from upgrade package hierarchically over an existing installation
