Hi,

i want to move local dnn blog website to online(ftp domain).

For managed code websites, i am able to access the sql server database file(located in the private folder of my ft)p from web config (located in www folder of my ftp).

But for cms websites, i could not access sql server database file (located in the private folder of my ftp) from web config (located in www folder of my ftp).Even if i put the sql server database file in App data folder(located in www folder of my ftp) still i could not access it from web config.

Is it possible to install local dnn website in a remote web server  using an access database?

Thanks,

Swaminathan

Actually my domain provider is not providing sql express installation to my ftp account.

With my ftp account, i can access sql server database for only managed code websites and not for cms websites like dnn.

Hence now to move my local dnn blog website online, i have to install dnn in my ftp with an access database.

Any suggestion or solution. pls reply.

Thanks,

Swaminathan,

please notice, that DotNetNuke Access Dataprovider has been terminated after DNN version 2.1.2.

I strongly suggest to look for a hosting provider, who offers MS SQL or MS SQL Express.
