I installed DNN 5.0.0 on our pre-production (http://ppnet.loyaltylogistix.com/dnn) for evaluation and I now need to move to our production server.

I have created a virtual directory (http://www4.loyaltylogistix.com/dnn) and copied the DNN files and database from the pre-production server. I've then opened the PortalAlias table in SQL server and replaced the portal alias (ppnet.loyaltylogistix.com/dnn) with the new one (www4.loyaltylogistix.com/dnn), I've also deleted the temporary internet files.

Both sites use the exact same folder structure.

When I launch the new url it takes ages to respond then gives a javascript error 'dnn is undefined'

It's a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition with SP2 installed running IIS v6.0 and SQL Server 2005

I've repeated the above steps half a dozen times

Any ideas ?

TIA

Smeat

Yes, changed them both to point to the database on the new server.

How about the MachineKey in the Web.config - have you changed that?
