Sorry for this stupid question.

I've installed VS2008 (can't find out where to change the language.............), Do I use VS2008 to create websites still, or do I use the DNN to do it?

How do I create sites?

you can use vs2008, but then you need to use the starterkit, or you can do everything by hand, using IIS, unzipping dnn etc.

Can you be a bit more clear as to what you want? Do you want to create modules, do you want to create skins, do you want to just add content, etc etc

Thanks for the reply. I want to add content mostly.

I've downloaded and installed the starter kit - am I supposed to get a new icon somewhere or does it just install code for vs2008 to use?

When I run VS2008, and create a new project and select the DDN template I get a page - but doesn't give me any more information.

if you just want to add content, and not develop modules or skins, i would not use the starterkit / visual studio combination at all. just use the install package to install. See here for an installation guide: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=gOZGbvrVKJw%3D&tabid=478&mid=857
