Hello,

I just reloaded the O/S (Win2k3) on a server with all the essentials. Once I finished the initial setup. I restored my DNN site directories from the backup, as well as the databases. I restored the databases back into SQL 2005 and all looks well, but when I visit one of the sites. All I see is the template (skin) with the logo, and the navigation menu. But none of the modules are showing up on the page, or any page. This is occuring on all the sites I've restored. Can anyone tell me what I may be missing?  No errors, just doesn't load? All sites are DNN 4.x+

Appreciate any assistance.

Thanks,

at a guess I'd say that you either forgot to install the .net framework (though i think it's there by default win win2k3), or else enable it (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/2384a63d-3965-4020-8522-36f8edc8a36e.mspx?mfr=true) or else you installed IIS after .net in which case you need to remap the .net extensions i.e. do an aspnet_regiis -i http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/k6h9cz8h(VS.80).aspx

I had 3.5 installed, but I uninstalled it, then performed the aspnet_regiis -i command which ran, but still nothing. I also created a new app pool, and made sure the site was using ASP.NET 2.0 in IIS.

In case an example is needed. here is one of our sites on the server having the issue. And it's any DNN site we have hosted.

please check your control panel at the top of the screen and ensure you do not have "design" mode selected.
