All,

I'm trying to figure out why the links from the blog-comment username, e.g., "by Thomas on 12-1-2009" don't work. Are they supposed to? And if so, where are they supposed to link?

From the code, it looks like the area in question is:

<asp:Hyperlink id="lnkUserName" cssclass="NormalBold" runat="server" visible="true"></asp:Hyperlink>

<asp:Label id="lblCommentDate" Runat="server" cssclass="Normal"></asp:Label>

But I can find no reference of this as a bug, or how to fix it... any thoughts? Thanks!

Hi Dave,

my understanding is that the user who left the comment did not add any hyperlink, so his name is rendered as a hyperling without a target URL. We have been asked to update this logic to render the commenter's name with a simple label whenever a link is not entered, and I think that this is how the next version will work.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi Dario,

Thanks for your reply. It would be even more tremendous (in fact, wonderful) if the logic were selectable. For instance, if a profiling system were in place, it would be excellent to link over by UserID. The standard format seems to be: http://ctnation.citizenschools.net/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx?tabid=137&id=33 , or to pass a UserID through the URL.

The overall impact would be to more tightly integrate profiling across DNN, which (IMHO) is still missing (and one of the most ask-for features here at Citizen Schools, where we've just launched the first DNN site - http://ctnation.citizenschools.org )

Thanks for your help!
