Hi All,

I'm trying to do something that seems like it should be very simple - link the newest member to their profile. For example, our site: http://ctnation.citizenschools.net/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx?tabid=37 displays the latest user. The ASP.net code in the ASXC file is:

<asp:label id="LatestUserLabel" runat="server" resourcekey="LatestUserLabel">Latest:</asp:label> <asp:label id="lblLatestUserName" runat="server" cssClass="NormalBold"></asp:label>

One way to do this is to simply call the LatestUsername over again, and put it into a Search url, so that it searches the site for the user's name (and brings up their profile). However, when I try to duplicate the line, the software throws an error -- it doesn't seem to like calling the same label twice. Any suggestions?

The (much) better version would actually look up the LatestUserName's UserID, and embed it with a link directly to their profile -- but this option seems more advanced. Here, any ideas would likewise be awesome ... for what should be a standard feature?

Thanks!

All,

Our solution was something of a hack; we've repeated the username (embedded into a link) to the search page, so that the URL output: http://ctnation.citizenschools.net/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx?tabid=38&Search=jehan60188 at least pulls up a search result with the user's name, for simple linking. It's still a bit far from a solution that can take in a UserName from a URL string and translate it into a UserID, but it's a start.

Hope this helps someone...
