Hi all,

           I have upgraded my local site to dnn 4.09.2 version from 4.05.5 version. In forum module i have an issue that, forum images are not appearing. This images are not exist but on portals/default/ folder and with (.png) extensions.In dnn 4.09.2 version image extensions are (.gif). Some functional issues are appreaing like

not move up or down forum categories in forum administration. Also get message in alert like

'Sys.Webforms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed. Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server trace is enabled.

Details: Error parsing near 'Z+jBP7k3tQ82Cl/le8g0'.'

 

Please provide any suggestion for it, if anyone faced same problem after dnn upgrades.

Note : I have upgraded forum module with the latest version which is coming with dnn 4.09.2 version ( upgraded to 3.0.15 from 3.0.13)

in forum admin > general settings > forum user interface you can set the theme image extension. that might have been switched from png to gif.

Also set the the Forum Theme to the "Default" Theme.  The old 3.x themes are not longer supported.

Hi Erik,

  Thanks for reply. I have changed forum theme images' extension which i used in forum module. Now my problem is resolved. Previously i have changed the images in .gif format. But in Forum UI , all were appreaing distorted. Now calling all images with .png extension, all forum images are looking fine.
