Hi,

I am very new to dnn development. I tried to create modules. But i want to create my own website in dotnetnuke as well as i want to create my own skins and apply that skin into my page.

I am struggling to create my own pages.

please help me.

I'd start off by creating the skin of your site.  Learn this first then once you have something nice to look at start creating modules.  Check out the skinning guide which is in the downloads section under DotNetNuke 4.9.2 Docs.  Find the pdf on skinning.  Once you have mastered creating skins (for the whole page) and containers (for the modules) i'd move on to download the starter kit.

I'd give you more detailed instructions but there is quite a lot involved to include here.  Hope this helps.

Module development can be painful (but fun of course ).  I would start with skin.

Look at the exsisting skin, for example, the "MinimalExtropy" in DNNRoot\Portals\_default\Skins\MinimalExtropy\index.ascx.  You tweak the skin and look at the site how your changes affect on the skin. hack it around. You'll immidiately notice that the skin could look completely different with some easy modifications. There are many tutorial for skin editting so google around and show us what you did at some point :)
