I have DNN 4.0.2 up and running with AD authentication working.  I would like to know, however, if it is possible to automatically log users into DNN using their windows logon information.

Currently when a domain user accesses the DNN site, they are prompted to log in before the site is viewable.  The user must then input Domain\Username and password to access the site.  Can this be done automatically so that users do not need to authenticate for both Windows logon and DNN logon?

Thanks in advance for any assistance that can be provided.

Add this to your url:

admin/security/windowssignin.aspx

For example http://www.yourwebiste.com/admin/security/windowssignin.aspx

i've just read this thread from DNN forum on asp.net website:
http://forums.asp.net/thread/1249885.aspx

the poster suggested to include this in the web.config httpmodule section:

OK, Apparently my authentication problem is with IIS and not with DNN itself.  I already had this line uncommented in web.config.

<add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Authentication" />

However I am still being challenged for username/password.  Is there a setting in IIS that I need to change?

Should Windows Authentication be applied to the entire site, or just to the WindowsSignin.aspx file? I have tried giving IUSR and ASP.NET user read access and allowing anonymous access to the site and setting WindowsSignin.aspx to windows authentication.  and I cannot log into the site at all after that.

Any Suggestions?
