I just saw the thread about "Private Files" and I have a similar, yet slightly different inquiry.  I was unable to determine this from the User Guide.

Is there a way for (lets say) "Power User A" to upload their file to the repository so that the regular Users can view/download the file but no one other that "Power User A" can overwrite/edit or otherwise manipulate the file.

To further complicate this, can mulitple "Power Users" upload to the same directory?

Usage Example:

A site has an information section about Cars.  People that use the site want to get information about specific models of cars.  The users also don't want to have to go from page to page to compare.  They want all of the information in one place based on given criteria (lets say, blue hatchbacks).  So, the search would list all of the blue hatchbacks from all of the car makers.  The catch would be that the various car makers would need to be able to upload the information on their particular models but not be able to alter or edit the information provided by the other car makers.

Is this possible?

Yes, that is exactly how the repository works.

Admins can view/download/edit everyone's uploads, however a non-admin user who is allowed to upload will only be able to edit the item that they upload, not other people's uploads.

Oh.  Okay.  Thanks for the quick response, Steve.
