Hi,

I have managed to move a DNN 3.2.2. Portal with many child portals to Asp.net 2.0.
I am having a problem with the file manager.

When logged in as the host account I am able to view files but the Folder Tree list does not appear.

As discussed elsewhere in this forum and on the forums at www.asp.net :-

  1. I have enabled  enableEventValidation="false" in pages node of Web.config. This has allowed me to create new folders but I cannot see them !!!
  2. I have also enabled requestLengthDiskThreshold="8192" in the httpruntime node of web.config. This was to allow me to upload a couple of Language packs.

When using the FTB Text control the folders can be navigated via the Insert Image button.

Unfortunately this Dnn site is running on a shared hosting server and a change to asp.net 2.0 means changing all applications on it. Unlike other hosting providers where the Runtime version can be set per application.

I have noted in the aspnet_client folder that there are no scripts found in the folder marked 2_0_50727. I tried copying the 1.1 script files but this had no effect.

I am now at a loss as what to try now. I have tried google for a solution but have not found anything useful.

Hope someone can help

Eamonn

Have made a fresh install of dnn 3.2.2 on a test machine. Have switched the asp.net runtime from 1.1 to 2.0 via the iis mmc. Site works after changes to the web config indicated above, but cannot view the folder list in either IE6 or Firefox 1.5

definately a bug IMHO !!

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/108/threadid/42377/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Basically you need to amend your web.config file to include the following shown in red

<pages validateRequest="false" enableViewStateMac="true" enableEventValidation="false">

Hope this helps
