I had a difficult upgrade - copied in files from the 4.9.2 Upgrade package over the files and navigated to install.aspx ... the best I could get was the Under Construction page. Saw some threads about folks having to run SQL scripts manually. Did that, and the site came up.

But now whenever I try to navigate to anything under Admin or Host I get a browser error. When I look in IIS log there's a 302 redirect.

This didn't happen prior to the upgrade. The website root is this particular DNN directory.

I can also access this site via a virtual directory from another website, and in that case I am able to see the host/admin pages just fine.

This sounds IIS-related but the fact remains that prior to the upgrade this wasn't happening. Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks -

 did you browse to /Install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade?

Yes, indeed ... with only errors or the Under Construction page appearing. Once I manually ran the SQL scripts, then when I navigated to install/install.aspx?mode=install, the install took place, with errors thrown for the SQL files that had content. But that was expected, since I had already run them.

This seems IIS-related but as stated, no such issues prior to the upgrade. Odd ...

I am still unable to access host and admin pages when I access via the web site root; can when I approach as a virtual directory from another website.

Any thoughts? Should I not use the DNN install as the web root?

Intesrestingly, this seems to be an IE7 issue. Using IE6 or Firefox, the Admin and Host pages appear with no problem.

Is there some setting in IE7 that would cause this?
