Hi,

I am having a bit of trouble with the search function on my site. It just wont find any results for some things that I know exist on my site. one example being 'pbx' I know that this is in a text/html module on my site yet when I type it into the search it will not give me any results.

At first I thought this problem was to do with the minimum word lenth of the search, so changed that down to 2 characters and updated, also has been re-indexed since then however still I get no results,

Has any one had a similar problem to this? Have any solutions at all?

Thanks

James

Go to your database and look for SEarchWord table and see if there are any records on it.

Other option is you may try to install one of our modules called DNNPages_SearchInput.

This works exactly the same like DNN Core searchinput. the difference is this give you a keyword list (pop up for you to select) using ajax.

check it out at www.dnnpages.com

Iv just checked the database, It is just not indexing the word 'pbx' that I used in my previous example.

Can anyone think of any reason why this word isnt being caught in the search? As we would prefer to not have to go through and manually manipulate the search.

Thanks

James

James,

did you make sure, min length for indexed words is set to 3?

Hi Sebastian,

I did check that, but no luck, I also tried taking it down to 2 but still not finding it at all.
