I thought I had submitted this earlier but don't see it in the list. My problem is that when I go to edit the text on a page, the background color is dark like the webiste's skin so the text can't be seen. Is this a problem with the skin or the editor. The skin is this one I found in the market place

http://marketplace.dotnetnuke.com/p-288-drastic20.aspx

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Royal

Read  /Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/FCK/FCKeditor/editor/css/fckeditorarea.css in notepad.
Also, there are other notes in this forum and on fckeditor.net that advise how to change the default css file.

I just replied to another similar question, however this answer has a more detailed answer.
Goto  /Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKeditor/css/  You will see a css file named fck_editorarea.css
Copy it into the File Manager ROOT directory of the portal in question.  This way you won't inadvertently destroy the original.
Now goto a page and click on the Edit Text link to edit some text.
At the bottom of the Edit Text/HTML screen, you will see "Show Custom Editor Options"
Click on Editor Area CSS... choose File and path to the Root File folder, and upload the file into the Templates folder.
Yes, you could have also chosen an existing  fck_editorarea.css file - but chances are your DNN hasn't sync'd with the file system yet.
Also you are given the choice of using the custom CSS file for an instance, a Module or the Portal. Choose Portal.
Ouila.

You can now delete the copy of fck_editorarea.css that's in the ROOT directory.  It was only used for uploading to the Templates directory.
