I am told that I can just download a skin for a client to move him to my server by going to a browser. Click File and then “Save page as”. Then point to your desktop (or wherever you want the files saved) and it will create a copy of the page as well as a folder with all the files associated with the page. Then take those files (and source code from the saved copy of the page) and create a new site.

Can you get a complete skin this way?

Thanks

Stephen

Stephen,

"Save Page" saves the RENDERED output, which does not contain the logic, how to inject dynamic elements like DotNetNuke Skin Objects. An exprerienced Skinner may recreate a Skin from a rendered page, but this requires quite some knowledge and work.

There is a difference, if you provide a download package of the Skin which can be installed by using DotNetNuke built in installer.
