Hi!

I have some issues with forum localization. I have DNN 04.09.00 and Forum version 04.04.03.

On DNN there are 3 languages: English, Spanish and Croatian. When there is selected english or croatian, I see some spanish localization on some elements with these english and croatian words and when I select spanish, everything is ok because everything is spanish like it should be. So, the problem is that there are some elements on forum that are in spanish regardles what language I choose.

What could be the problem with this?

Thanks, Ivan

this sounds rather weird, except someone altered language files on your site inappropriately. Can you give an example, please?

Example on main forum menu if english is selected...

It goes:
Moderate
Admin
Mis Opciones -> Spanish
Mi Comentario -> Spanish
Buscar -> Spanish
Foro Home -> Spanish
Help
Print
Settings
Delete
Move

And on Last post column it says on Spanish "Ninguno" regardless what language is selected.

I doubt that someone was messing with words because site is not yet public and only me and one guy work on this and he didn't change it.

this sounds like some issue with language files. Try to reinstall the forum module (without uninstall) and check, whether the issue is vanishing,

Hello Ivan,

It also sounds weird to me, the only explanation I can find is that the language pack that provided the translation for Spanish for the forum (or the person who translated to Spanish on your installation) may have overwritten the original .resx files (the default fallback English (United States), with Spanish text.

It will we indeed a good idea to follow Sebastian's recommendation to reinstall the Forum module so that its original resources get back into their places :-)

Interesting issue, please provide some more news upon progress.

Saludos,

Alejandro.
