Depending on your needs you might look into ActiveForums for a different forum solution and/or News Articles from Ventrian for the blog functionality.

Thanks for the helpful replies. I will look at what you have suggested and with any luck I will be able to resolve the problem (which sorely tested my patience).

To the others. I dont have to bow and scrape to you. And if you consider it pertinent, I had sought other advice (another DNN supplier in fact) who could not sort out the problem!

What if it is FREE? I have paid for modules that have not been all that they were meant to be. What will you personally do about that?

If you have nothing constructive to say dont bother!!!!

Pat, the forum does allow you to do everything you are looking to do in your original post here. Also, you can add individual users to the permissions grid and thus you don't need to create a role here either. If you read the supplied documentation, it could have saved you plenty of time (and thus money).
