So is there anyway to stop the FreeTextBox from automatically converting all image links to absolute links which then break it when I move from my localhost server to the production server? It does the same thing for hyperlinks... this is such a pain...

I've asked this question (and many others on the FreeTextBox forums - but no response), so if anyone here knows of a way around this plesae let me know.

Welcome to the world of working locally with virtual directories, and then posting live..

No. I don't know of any thing that fixes this - it's not FTB it's DNN. I was using the CuteEditor, and had exactly the same problems, spent a week fixing, then learnt my lesson, then spent the next three weeks, fixing the occasional ones I forgot but people kindly emailed me about.

The only way to fix this is to setup your local network as per live network, using something that gives you fixed IP's - DHCP I think and allows you to create full websites, instead of virtual directories, like about 99% of us have.

I'm pretty sure that its not DNN - I've used the FTB is 3 other projects with the same results... when it parses the text it automatically changes stuff like the links. A right pain...
